"I Am" Statements

What we tell ourselves ends up becoming our personal truths. If you tell yourself that you are incapable of being loved by a kind, compassionate man, then you will likely walk around believing that to be true about your life. When the reality is…that doesn’t have to be your truth! You are absolutely deserving of a wonderful man regardless of any of your past failed relationships.

“I am” statements encourage us to see ourselves in a better light - the light that God sees us in!

Think of things you know to be absolutely true about yourself. Maybe this is “I am a daughter,” or “I am a mother.”

Make a list of statements of truth that begin with "I am.” Return to this list when you need to remind yourself of your value and worth. If you struggle with saying something like "I am a loving person," then adjust so that the statement rings true for you right now. You could possibly say "I am on my way to becoming a more loving person."

Continue to add to this list each week or month. Use the list as a constant reminder of your immeasurable worth and value!

Sending you love,
