Great Trait

What great trait do you have?

(I'm sure it is actually great traits but just name one for now.)

Don't say "I'll think of one later" or "it is too early to do this Ginger, I need more coffee first."

Go ahead, I'll wait - don't read on until you name a great trait about yourself. I want everyone to have one top of mind. Here is some help:
What is one of the best things about you? What are you really good at doing? What do people love about you? What compliments do you hear?

Okay, got one?

This is your "Great Trait" and I want you to refer back to it when you begin to criticize yourself, doubt your amazingness, or get lost in the weeds of comparison on social media.

A trait is "a distinguishing quality or characteristic." What is distinguishing about you?

Everyone has a great trait.

You actually have many. But our brains forget this when we see other people achieving things, we make a mistake, or hear criticism. If you remind yourself of your "Great Trait" on a good day, then on a bad day it rises more naturally to the surface. This is one way we can give ourselves hope and lessen our suffering. When we get overwhelmed and lose hope, we can say to ourselves, "but you have this great trait..."

Also, look around at the people in your life and notice their "Great Trait" too.

Ahhhh, that feels better already.

Sending you lots of love,
Ginger
