Joy List

This week, I invite you to be aware of what brings you joy!

Being a human being is pretty tough right now, there are lots of things to be concerned about. But, there are also a lot of things to feel joy about too. Can you name a few of those?

Make a list of what brings you joy - the silly, belly laugh, time stops, soak up this moment, pure bliss, heaven on earth, happiest ever, full of love, don't want it to end, fully alive moments.

If you aren't a write-it-down person, then pause right now and see if you can name ten things that bring you joy. You can use your fingers to keep track.

Gift yourself with doing something small from the list every day, a bigger item every month, something that feels like a treat for yourself every quarter. and make sure the big ones happen every year. Maybe you could even plan a day of joy for yourself soon!

You have permission to play.

Recognize what brings you joy and do more of that. You are good at making sure other people are happy, you deserve to give yourself some of that attention too. Seek out a moment of joy every day. Notice the moments of joy when you have them and pause to savor them.

Let this Spring be a season of renewing joy in your life. Maybe if you and I up our joy intake, we contribute more positive energy into the ether and that warms cold hearts across the globe. I think that it is worth a try!
