Want To or Will

Here is a quick practice for you this week:

Shift your "I want to..." statements into "I will..." statements.

This small change creates a powerful shift in commitment.

Maybe some of these will get you thinking:

  • I want to go for a walk today. I will go for a walk today.

  • I want to be creative. I will be creative.

  • I want to figure out my purpose. I will figure out my purpose.

  • I want to find good friends. I will find good friends.

  • I want to make a big change. I will make a big change.

  • I want to write a book. I will write a book.

  • I want to lose 10 pounds. I will lose 10 pounds.

  • I want to feel peaceful. I will feel peaceful.

  • I want to find joy every day. I will find joy every day.

What is on your personal list of "want to?" Which of those things could you switch into an "I will" statement?

Can you feel the powerful shift that occurs with that small change in mindset? Experiment with it this week and see what you notice.

It is a shift that brings hope, dedication, and action.

What will you do?

I have great faith in you,
Ginger
