/I saw a meme that called the QR code the comeback-kid of technology. QR code technology (those little black and white squares that you scan with the camera app on your phone to open an online link) had an auspicious start in the 90’s.
The QR concept was invented in Japan to track and re-stock parts in the manufacturing industry. Some companies tried to launch it with consumer use in the 2010 era, but it wasn’t easily adopted as a consumer tool. However in 2020, QR codes made a comeback as we all started using the to view restaurant menus, read event programs, and make charity donations.
Next time you feel out of date or useless, I invite to you think about the greatest comebacks of all time. It could be your story too.
