Write a "Dear Loving One" Letter

Imagine the most loving person in your life. The one who will listen to you without judgement and will provide unconditional love no matter what. This might be a friend or family member, or it could be God or Jesus.

Write a paragraph expressing your current struggle with something. Then, write a response from this person - speaking to yourself exactly how this person would. Let the words flow as you imagine they would from the loving person that you are picturing or imagining.

What is it that this person wants you to know about this current struggle you are having? What advice do they have for you? What encouragement?

Take this letter and read it over and over again - reminding yourself of the beautiful and unique qualities of yourself that make you exactly who you are. Allow yourself to take the words and advice from the letter to heart. Allow yourself to be forgiven, encouraged, at peace and comforted.

Keep the letter in your bedside drawer or in a safe place, and pull it out when you find yourself slipping into a bad head space. Whenever you need to, remind yourself that your life is beautiful and full of so many good things, and that you are worthy of moving forward and past your struggles and negative circumstances.

Sending you love,
